Device Category Dossier for Ceramic femoral head prosthesis. Australian ARTG records, sponsors, device class — compiled by arcimedes.

Ceramic femoral heads are prosthetic ball components designed to replace the natural femoral head in hip joint replacement surgery, articulating with an acetabular liner as part of a total hip prosthesis. These devices are used to treat degenerative hip joint conditions including osteoarthritis and avascular necrosis, inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, traumatic injuries including femoral head or neck fractures, and congenital hip dysplasia, in both primary and revision surgical procedures.
