Orthopaedic bone screws are non-absorbable fasteners intended for internal orthopaedic procedures that are screwed into bone to hold plates to bone or to provide direct interfragmentary stabilisation of bone. These screws are used for fracture fixation across multiple skeletal sites including cranial, maxillofacial, clavicle, limb diaphyseal and epiphyseal, pelvic, metacarpal and phalange, and calcaneus fractures.
